The Scout-Guide Movement

The Scout-Guide Movement is a "voluntary non-political and educational movement for young people, open to all, without distinction of origin, race, or creed, in accordance with the purpose, principles and method" conceived by the Founder Lord Baden Powell.
The purpose of this movement is "to contribute to the development of the young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social, spiritual and emotional potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international community".
It is based on three principles: "Duty to God", "Duty to Others" and "Duty to Self". As defined in the Scout movement, the students learn "a system of progressive self-education, through a promise and principle of learning by doing, Patrol System, in outdoor setting in contact with Nature".
